Nerang Fair Shopping Centre upgrade

As part of their continuing program of improvements to their shopping centre portfolio, Liuzzi Property Group awarded Emacen the contract to deliver the Nerang Fair Shopping Centre upgrade.

The centre received a new lease on life following the $1.8 million cosmetic and structural upgrade, which involved:

• removing and replacing new roof framing, sheeting and skylights on the centre’s extended entry canopy
• removing and replacing floor tiles to the concourse and front entry
• installing new elliptical louvres to shade the front entry
• removing and replacing damaged concrete in the centre’s carpark
• installation of new shade sail structures over 161 carpark spaces
• upgrading the electrical and hydraulic systems
• refurbishing amenities areas
• repainting the centre’s exterior walls
• installing new signage, including pylon entry sign
• upgrading the landscaping.

Works were delivered in a live operational environment, where the safety of project stakeholders and visitors to the centre was critical. As a result, high levels of stakeholder engagement were required to ensure the safety of shoppers, and minimal disruption to the program, within ongoing site operations.

Emacen was proud to successfully deliver the Nerang Fair Shopping Centre upgrade in August of this year.
