TAE Engine Test Cell No. 1 Remediation and JOAP Room

After participating in the design and construct of their Turbine Engine Maintenance Facility, Emacen was delighted to partner with TAE Aerospace once again to deliver the remediation & refurbishment works on RAAF BASE Amberley’s Engine Test Cell 1.

Emacen was engaged by the Department of Defence, through their maintenance provider, TAE, to perform remediation works on the test cell following foreign object damage (FOD) to their fighter engines while undergoing a testing regime at the site.

Having previous in-house experience in this specialised one-off facility, Emacen was able to provide key knowledge and know-how to the project.

The scope of works involved the elimination of the FOD, a refurbishment of the Joint Oil Analysis Program Room and certification of the site’s existing structural elements.

Congratulations to our project team Mark Spry, Ross Jarden and Tony Kitchenham, who successfully carried out the remediation works!

The project was delivered on time and budget, meeting the timeline for The Department of Defence’s strict jet engine testing program.
