Engine Test Cell No. 1 Remediation

Total project value $1.8 million

Emacen was engaged by TAE as the Department of Defence’s Engine Maintenance Provider, to perform remediation works on RAAF Base Amberley’s Engine Test Cell 1, following foreign object damage (FOD) to their fighter engines while undergoing testing at the base. The project involved the elimination of the FOD, a refurbishment of the Joint Oil Analysis Program Room and certification of the site’s existing structural elements. Having in-house experience in this specialised one-off facility, Emacen was able to provide key knowledge and know-how to the project, including specialist safety and environmental procedures. Emacen successfully delivered the remediation and refurbishment works on time and budget, meeting the strict timeline for The Department of Defence’s jet engine testing program.
